OUR MISSION

There’s a common perspective that the healthcare system is clunky and slow to change. But we know we can do better. We believe through digital transformation of product insights and market knowledge we can improve the partnership between physicians and life science companies. That’s why we’ve created an ecosystem uniting software, a healthcare community and system decision makers for the betterment of patient care.

OUR STORY

As physicians in Canada, Sam (Gastroenterologist) and Saeed (Cardiologist) were exhausted by typical life science engagements. Their lunches, and evenings were overtaken by long meetings and they struggled with creating more of a work-life balance. Through the pandemic in 2020, this was exacerbated with ‘Zoom fatigue’ and physicians were more fed up with how their time was being consumed. 

From this shift, KeyOps was born. It was founded on being more physician-centric. Less paperwork, more transparency, fair compensation and quick engagements. It was created to help physicians feel impactful by contributing their expertise in short bursts, and for life science companies to be more in tune with small market changes. 

Today, KeyOps has attracted hundreds of Canadian healthcare professionals with a stunning NPS score of >50 in 2021, and continually building trust with well-known life science partners.

UX Designer

What we are looking for: 

We are looking for a UX Designer who will design compelling and intuitive physician and life science company with deep empathy for our users.  You will meet with internal stakeholders, conduct user research and translate them into prototypes, user flows and customer journey maps. You will steward the company’s design style guide that will be employed across our product, website and customer communications.

What you will do:

  • Champion our user experience by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and testing designs
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a mobile and traditional interfaces.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to existing and new functions and features.Communicate processes, ideas, and solutions to PMs, developers and early adopters. 
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly iterate your designs.
  • Identify design problems in our existing flows and devise new elegant solutions.
  • Plan and conduct user experience research and usability testing.  

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of relevant hands-on design experience and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
  • Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of design software tools like Sketch, InVision, Adobe InDesign and Illustrator 
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design, planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.

As a product manager, you will collaborate across the company to ensure our products provide a remarkable, delightful experience for physicians and life science marketers. The work at KeyOps demands an ability to quickly learn and understand the nuances of various users and customers. You will sit at the intersection of business, technology and user experience.  On any given day, your job may include researching user feedback, building a new product strategy, presenting to leadership, iterating on experiments, and planning or prioritizing initiatives. 


What you will do:

  • Help set the product direction, influence strategy, and establish practices to identify and address customer needs.
  • Own the product roadmap and constantly evaluate and prioritize new opportunities as well as manage the backlog 
  • Lead the effort to develop clear user stories for new initiatives as well as take a data-driven approach to existing product enhancements
  • Work closely with all internal stakeholders as well as external users to execute on the product roadmap
  • Monitor product adoption, proactively identifying opportunities and making actionable recommendations to drive product uptake and user satisfaction

Community Engagement and Loyalty Manager

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a Community Engagement and Loyalty Manager to join our growing physician marketing team. You will work with the Physician Marketing team to recruit and nurture our physician panel. You are able to THINK BIG when it comes to marketing strategy and can execute on a plan to make those ideas come to life. You will be tasked with building our physician community which will create an engaged and diverse physician community group across Canada and the US to participate in life science engagements. This role will work with a Physician Marketing and Physician Recruitment Manager to deliver on the organisational objectives .


Position breakdown:

  • 40% Social media management and content creation
  • 30% Execution of physician recruitment campaigns
  • 20% Other digital content: digital ads, newsletters, influencer campaign
  • 10% Public relations communications, and events

What you will do:

  • Develop the vision and strategy for the online community, and drive initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Manage all digital content creation, including social media, blogs, website, e-newsletters, digital ads, influencer campaigns, etc.
  • Ensure a consistent brand tone and strategy across all channels.
  • Create engaging written and visual content (photo and video) for social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, with possibility of extension into Facebook/Instagram for US and Canadian physicians.
  • Invite contributors to co-create content and promote the physician community.
  • Manage content calendar and the content creation, writing, photo/video editing, posting and publishing schedule. Will work closely with the B2B marketer to coordinate content posting. Monitor current events in key disease areas for potential campaigns.
  • Develop and implement brand-specific follower strategies and influencer outreach programs.
  • Manage our physician recognition program, Honors.
  • Employ social analytics, SEO and social publishing tools to quantify effectiveness of social programs and platforms, to better create and promote content, and grow online audiences.
  • Define and update metrics to measure the impact of online community building activities and the social media plan
  • Report performance measures on a weekly basis, while providing monthly recommendations to improve performance at regular business review meetings.

What you bring:

  • Degree or certificate in digital marketing, communications or a related field required.
  • Experience with creative content development (writing, editing, and publishing).
  • Recent experience in developing communities or organizing groups or individuals into effective communities. 
  • Ability to develop a digital marketing plan and execute short and long-term campaigns.
  • Experience with social media reporting, optimization and data analytic platforms such as HootSuite and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of current social media and content creation trends, practices and strategies.
  • Copywriting experience and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in video, photo editing, and graphic design is a significant asset.
  • Keen interest and/or experience working in a startup venture

Director of Finance

Working closely with the CEO, The Director of Finance will play an integral role in building the finance function at KeyOps and ensuring the long-term financial health of the company. The successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual that will drive the financial plan and make recommendations to the leadership team on how to optimize the company’s financial strategy and performance.  We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of financial reporting and modelling and is excited to take ownership of a small, fast-growing company’s finances. 

What you will do:

  • Own the day-to-day full-cycle accounting functions incl. general ledger, AR, AP, and month-end close
  • Prepare and interpret financial results to the KeyOps leadership team in order to assess business performance and make recommendations for improvement 
  • Develop and manage the annual financial budget  and  ongoing forecast process 
  • Prepare financial reports for board meetings, external investors, and fundraising efforts.  
  • Design and implement systems of measurement to improve performance in areas of revenue management, gross margins, cash efficiency, working capital etc 
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and continuously look for new ways to analyze the business and drive productivity gains. 
  • Build and scale the finance function by implementing and overseeing financial controls, systems or tools,  and best practices
  • Own and refine the billing and collections process to make customer payments easier, faster, and more predictable
  • Manage the annual review process conducted by external accounting firms to ensure a successful and timely completion

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of relevant  hands-on finance experience in high-growth SaaS companies, investment banking or private equity,
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Completion (or on track to complete)  a CPA or CFA designation
